Happy November! We are getting into my favorite time of year – the precipice to the holidays. I am excited to share my holiday beauty buys and gifting must haves! Expect a Black Friday post from me sharing my picks for the season.

It has already been a busy month! We were at a wedding this past weekend for one of my good friends and had a blast. It’s been a minute since we had a fall wedding and I absolutely LOVED this dress I got from Lulus. It reminds me of the yellow one Kate Hudson wore in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. What fun celebrations does everyone have this November?

There are some fun things going on in the beauty world! Sephora has their Rouge sale until November 11th and I was able to get a great haul. Rouge members have 20% off all items and there are additional discounts for VIB and Beauty Insider members. I loaded up on some pre-holiday essentials last Friday and also got a fresh skincare haul from my husband when he came back from Japan a couple weeks ago. I’m going to share my picks as they have greatly shaped this month’s mood board!

Sephora November Beauty Buys

There are obviously so many options at Sephora and depending on what your needs are I would definitely take this opportunity to check some items off your wishlist! I am sharing my picks and some wishlist items below to give you some inspo!

  • Makeup:
    • Ethereal Eyes Eyeshadow Palette: Moonlight from Makeup by Mario This palette just launched and it is the perfect eye palette for winter. I love that there is a blend of neutral tones and smokey ones. Smokey eyes for holiday parties are always so fun. This is a wishlist item for me.
    • Eye Tint Long-Lasting Liquid Eyeshadow from Armani Beauty These liquid eyeshadows haven’t been in any of the Chicago stores so I had to order this. I got the shade Senso which is a shimmery brown. I have been using liquid eyeshadows a lot more and have been seeing this one all over Instagram. Liquid eye shadow is great because it is so easy to apply and gives off a more elaborate eye look than what you are actually doing! In my last blog post I talked about the proper way to apply it. Make sure you use a good eye shadow brush!
    • Gloss Bomb Stix High-Shine Gloss Stick from Fenty Beauty This is a must buy for me if you don’t already have this lipstick. I have a couple shades and it’s on my wishlist to buy more. This lipstick lasts the night and has a beautiful shine finish. I love the warmer, berry colors for winter.
    • Trace’d Out Longwear Waterproof Pencil Lip Liner from Fenty Beauty Fenty really delivered on this lip liner. It goes on smooth and pairs really well with all of the Gloss Bomb Stix.
    • Lip Soufflé Matte Cream Lipstick from Rare Beauty This was a last minute purchase for me on Friday. I wanted a deeper pink color to wear for the wedding I went to last weekend. I was so impressed with this lipstick. I got the shade Heroic. It has a smooth texture that is not drying, which I feel like most matte liquid lipsticks are. This lipstick also lasted all night long at the wedding I went to. I ordered a matching lip liner from Rare Beauty and can’t wait to try it with this lipstick! I plan on buying more!
    • HD Skin Face Essentials – Longwear Full Face Cream Palette from Make up Forever Okay, if you do not have this palette, now is a great time to buy it with 20% off! It’s $88 but so worth it. I use this palette for everything. You can mix shades and use it for foundation, concealer, blush, contour and highlighter! For traveling, this palette is also super convenient. I can pack less makeup and use this for my whole face. There are also different shades/versions depending on your skintone.
    • MakeWaves Lengthening + Volumizing Mascara from Tower 28 Beauty Brown mascara is so trendy for fall and this is a great brand! I am not a huge fan of tubing mascaras but I love this one. It is very lightweight and doesn’t clump. I feel like it makes my lashes look a mile long.
  • Skincare:
    • Retinol Youth Renewal Night Cream from Murad My fav retinol. I love this because it is super hydrating and doesn’t dry out your skin like a lot of retinols do. I put on a little every night. I pair it with the sleep mask listed below!
    • Cicapair™ Tiger Grass Sleepair Intensive Night Mask from Dr. Jart+ This mask can also be mixed with moisturizer during the day, but I just use it at night. It pairs well with retinol because of its hydrating ingredients. It is also great for redness, which I tend to deal with more in the winter months. It works to seal in the products you put on, and helps repair your skin’s moisture barrier overnight.
    • Banana Bright+ Vitamin C Eye Crème for Dark Circles from OLEHENRIKSEN One of my favorite eye creams! I notice a different under my eyes with brightness and dark circles. I like to pair it with a hydrating eye serum to give my under eyes some extra TLC.
    • Caffeine 5% + EGCG Depuffing Eye Serum The Ordinary I just bought this eye serum and am liking it so far. It has caffeine to help wake up the under eye area and works to depuff! It’s great to put on in the morning and I like pairing it with the Vitamin C eye cream.
    • Pro-Collagen Anti Aging Marine Cream from Elemis I have become a huge fan of this brand. This is a pretty expensive morning moisturizer but it works. This is a great product for the winter as it has super hydrating ingredients and also works to prevent fine lines and wrinkles. I have been using their cleansing balm for awhile and also really like it.

As we approach winter, these picks are all essentials for me. I am excited to embrace warm makeup tones and do some fun makeup for the holidays. As I experiment with my new skincare haul from Japan, I will update everyone on my favorite Japanese Skincare products. I know I was bad about blog posting last month so I promise to be on my game as we head into the holiday season!

What are you most excited for this November? I enjoy this time leading up to Christmas and getting together with friends and family. We are spending Thanksgiving in Boston and then doing a long weekend in New York which is one of my favorite cities!
